Luxcara and Vestas close turbine supply agreements for 160 MW in Finland

Luxcara, an independent asset manager in the global renewable energy market, and Vestas have closed turbine supply agreements and long-term service agreements for the three wind projects in Finland - Välikangas, Pihtipudas and Sievi.

Enel Green Power Awarded 80 MW in Italy in GSE’s First Auction

Enel Green Power was awarded 80 MW in the first renewable tender held by the Italian state-owned energy service company GSE (Gestore Servizi Energetici). Specifically, EGP was awarded 60 MW of new renewable capacity for three wind projects, and 20 MW from the repowering of already-operational wind and hydro projects. The company participated in the 500 MW tender for new wind and solar projects and the 60 MW tender for renovations of hydro and wind plants with a capacity exceeding 1 MW.

GE Renewable Energy to supply Cypress turbines for 132 MW onshore wind farm

GE Renewable Energy announced today that it has been selected by OX2 as the supplier for the 132 MW Metsälamminkangas wind farm in Finland, which will use 24 GE Cypress onshore wind turbines representing GE’s first Cypress-equipped wind farm in Finland. OX2 will operate the Cypress turbines which have a rotor diameter of 158 metres. The deal, which includes a multi-year service contract, takes full advantage of the Cypress Platform’s two-piece blade design provided by LM Wind Power, a GE Renewable Energy business
