TÜV NORD to Certify One Of the World’s Biggest Wind Farm Zones

TÜV NORD is carrying out its first project certification in accordance with the innovative, internationally recognized IECRE OD-502 scheme. The installations to be certified are the Dutch offshore wind farms Hollandse Kust Zuid 1&2 and 3&4, which together make up one of the most high-performance wind farm zones in the world.

Alphabet Inc., Google’s parent company, is closing the door on Makani, developer of energy kites. According to “Bloomberg Green”, Google is scaling back its experimental technology in favor of its main internet business. Makani was founded in 2006 by a group of kitesurfers who were curious about the potential for kites to unlock wind energy in more places around the globe.
