BayWa r.e. has announced its 2023 ambitions for its Wind Projects team, with sights set on developing larger portfolio wind farms across Asia Pacific (APAC). With offices in Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Australia, BayWa r.e. services the entire lifecycle of wind farm developments in these target markets.

Innergex And MMBC's Joint Wind Project Is Selected In RFPs By Hydro-Québec

Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. and Mi'gmawei Mawiomi Business Corporation announced that their 102 MW Mesgi'g Ugju's'n 2 wind project has been selected in Hydro-Québec's request for proposals. The project, which will be located in the MRC d'Avignon, is an extension to the existing 150 MW Mesgi'g Ugju's'n wind facility, and a result of a 50-50 partnership between Innergex and the three Mi'gmaq communities in Quebec – Gesgapegiag, Gespeg and Listuguj – represented by MMBC.

DNV embarks on project to support plan to bring zero-carbon offshore wind power to South Korea

Independent energy expert and assurance provider DNV is assisting KEPCO (Korea Electric Power Corporation) Research Institute in the development of a long-term offshore power grid plan to deliver renewable offshore wind power to South Korea, with completion scheduled for mid-2025. As technical advisor, DNV will develop a conceptual design and routing plan to enable the technically and economically optimal integration of large-scale offshore wind to the grid.

Vattenfall and Havfram Wind Sign PSA for Norfolk Projects

Vattenfall has appointed Havfram Wind as preferred supplier for the installation of wind turbines for Vattenfall’s Norfolk projects in the United Kingdom. The agreement covers transport and installation works over a period of 3 years, utilizing one of Havfram Wind`s newbuild NG20000X Jack-Up Wind Turbine Installation Vessels (WTIV) with a 3,200-ton crane. The works will start in the spring of 2027.
