SolAgra Corporation Contracts with Delaware Univ. for Agrivoltaic Arrays

SolAgra Corporation has been contracted by the University of Delaware (UDel) for two agrivoltaic solar arrays that will be built at two UDel campuses in Newark and Georgetown, Delaware to study solar power and crop production on farmland.  SolAgra plans to build and launch the solar arrays for the 2024 growing season.

First test for new solar-powered hybrid Scania truck

A unique hybrid truck with a solar panel covered trailer is being tested on public roads in Sweden, as a result of a two-year research collaboration involving Scania, Uppsala University, Eksjö Maskin & Truck, Midsummer, Ernsts Express, and Dalakraft. The solar energy decreases operational costs and local emissions significantly because of the truck’s self-produced energy.

Mountain Regional Water to Install Floating Solar Technology 

Mountain Regional Water Special Service District, a special service district of the state of Utah that serves drinking water to the Snyderville Basin area of Park City, Utah, has awarded Ameresco a contract to design and install a floating solar photovoltaic array site. This award precedes the district's selection for a grant for $400,000 from Rocky Mountain Power's Blue Sky program for the district's Signal Hill Water Treatment Plant.

Matrix Renewables Closes €47M Financing With Banco Sabadell For 50 MW Solar Plant In Seville

Matrix Renewables, the TPG Rise-backed global renewable energy platform,and Banco Sabadell have successfully closed a project financing of €47 million meeting all Matrix ESG polices. The funds will be used for the construction of a solar PV plant in the municipality of La Rinconada, located in the province of Seville, Spain. The solar PV plant will have a capacity of 50MW and will generate clean and renewable electricity, contributing to a reduction in carbon emissions.
