Innova secures planning consent for 22MWp solar farm in Taunton

Innova’s 22 MW solar power project in Taunton, Somerset, has received planning permission from Somerset County Council – the company’s second solar project to receive planning permission this year. Upon completion, Ham Farm Solar Park will produce enough energy to power 5,500 homes, based on average consumption per year, displacing 4,600 tonnes of CO2 per year.

Ørsted Secures Solar Energy Contract Under Irish RESS 4 Auctions

Ørsted has successfully secured a contract in the Irish Government’s fourth onshore Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS 4) auction which have been announced today with an average price for solar of €104.76 per MWh. The approved project is a 55 MW Solar Farm in Ballinrea, located between Carrigaline and Cork City, which has the potential to power 16,000 homes once operational.
