North Carolina has announced participation in a regional offshore wind workforce assessment and supply chain project. The purpose of the “SMART-POWER Workforce and Supply Chain Analysis” is to understand the region’s existing offshore wind capabilities and identify supply chain investments that could most effectively leverage these resources and provide the greatest benefits to members states while furthering the responsible development of offshore wind.

Hitachi Energy helps deliver first power from world’s largest offshore wind farm in record time

Hitachi Energy has announced that power has been transmitted from the Dogger Bank Wind Farm, the world’s largest offshore wind farm, via its high-voltage direct current (HVDC) system to the UK grid for the first time. Hitachi Energy has provided its HVDC Light system to connect Dogger Bank A, located more than 130-kilometres off the Northeast coast of England, to the mainland.

Iberdrola to Supply Power to TMD Through its Windanker Offshore Wind Farm

Iberdrola and the world's largest manufacturer of brake materials, TMD Friction Services, have signed a contract for the long-term supply of clean electricity (PPA) for 15 years.
