LRE (Leeward Renewable Energy, LLC) announced the completion of its Caprock Wind repowering project, backed by a 25-year renewable energy purchase agreement with Western Farmers Electric Cooperative (WFEC). The 80-megawatt Caprock Wind repowering replaced 80 aging 1 MW turbines with 20 state-of-the-art 4.5MW turbines.

MDU Resources Announces Plans to Invest in Badger Wind Farm

MDU Resources Group, Inc. announced that its subsidiary, Montana-Dakota Utilities Co., has signed a purchase agreement to acquire a 49% ownership interest in the Badger Wind Farm. This acquisition represents 122.5 MW of the project's total 250 MW generation capacity. The purchase agreement is contingent on regulatory approval from the North Dakota Public Service Commission.

Blair Hill Wind farm plans could create £165 million boost to local economy

British renewable energy company RES has submitted a Section 36 application to the Scottish Government’s Energy Consents Unit (ECU) for its 14-turbine Blair Hill Wind Farm proposal, located 2.7 kilometres north of Newton Stewart in Dumfries and Galloway, which, if approved, would be capable of generating clean, low-cost electricity for the equivalent of over 115,000 homes every year.
