Orbital will be exhibiting their ground-breaking tidal turbine technology that has the ability to unlock strong tidal currents in the world’s oceans as a source of low carbon and predictable energy that can complement global efforts to reach net zero whilst creating a new, green industrial sector. The company recently built and launched the world’s most powerful tidal turbine; the O2, from the Port of Dundee, with the unit now installed in the waters off the Orkney Islands in northern Scotland where it is feeding power into the UK grid.
