The company is expected to invest $920 million in the facility to be constructed in Aabenraa in southern Jutland.
The data center will begin operations in the second quarter of 2019. The company has contracted a local clean energy developer to build 30MW of new wind farm capacity to support the project.
According to the Copenhagen Post, construction is expected to create approximately 300 jobs. There will be positions for about 50 – 100 employees when the centre is in full operation.
Apple's first data center in Denmark near the town of Viborg is due to begin operations later this year.
