BayWa r.e. has been present in Spain since 2010 and has built solar and wind projects totalling over 130 MW, including the then-largest solar rooftop installation in Spain with 3.4 MWp, and currently operates some 335 MW of renewable assets. In addition, in 2018 BayWa r.e. completed the 175 MWp Don Rodrigo subsidy-free solar plant, the largest of its kind in Europe.
At the beginning of 2019, two new Managing Directors came onboard together with Claus Bünermann, who has headed BayWa r.e. in Spain since 2016. Tomás García will lead on wind and solar projects, while Daniel Roca will head up BayWa r.e.’s expanding solar wholesale business.

Daniel Roca, Managing Director of BayWa r.e. Solar Systems S.L.U., will expand the wholesale business and provide installers with a ‘one-stop-shop’ for a comprehensive product portfolio, including BayWa r.e.’s mounting solution Novotegra.
