Now in their fourth year, edie’s Awards for Environmental Excellence are one of a handful of feeder schemes for the European Business Awards for the Environment and provide a platform for those developing renewable energy projects to present their finest work.
Edie is looking for projects that could influence the future of the sector, and can be anything from large-scale deployment of renewables to examples of how on-site alternative technology is powering developments across Europe.
The awards seek to recognise those who have gone beyond simple good practice and are helping to shape the sustainability agenda in their sphere of operations. "Renewable energy is set to play a growing role in powering Europe, which will help provide green collar jobs as well as cutting our carbon emissions,” said edie's editor, Sam Bond. ““We hope that by bringing leading projects to the attention of the widest possible audience, we can help to show the public and industry that renewables are the future of energy generation.”

All you have to do if you believe your project meets Edie’s awards criteria, is write a brief case study and provide the website with your contact details.
Entries must be received by the closing date of 26 May.
The best of these will be shortlisted for consideration by an expert panel of judges, and the winners will be announced at a gala dinner at London's prestigious Hurlingham Club in November.
