RECs (renewable energy certificates) are a certificate that guarantees the origin of renewable energy, helping to make sure that the claims companies make about their climate activity hold true. CSGCM is the first official issuer of I-REC certificates (I-REC) in China, covering the provinces of Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, Hainan, as well as Hong Kong and Macau.
All renewable electricity generators in these regions and all energy end-users in China will be able to use the internationally recognised I-REC Standard for their energy attribute reporting. This aligns the local market in China with the expanding requirements of global trade. These regions house over 277 million people and cover an area of 1 million km².
CSGCM is accredited by The I-REC Foundation, a non-profit organisation and provider of the I-REC Standard, the globally recognised attribute tracking standard for renewable electricity.
Providing robust data for energy consumers in over 140 countries, Evident supports governments, producers, and users around the world in the transition to a certified global Clean Economy. In countries ranging from Australia, Peru and the Philippines to India, Thailand and Brazil, Evident works with renewable energy generators helping to expand the sector, facilitating the transition to renewable and clean energy.
