The Awards scheme was launched successfully last year and nominations are now open for this year’s competition in which the company is trying to discover which businesses across the country are going above and beyond for the environment. This year, the Awards are being launched alongside World Environment Day, which aims to promote awareness of environmental issues and encourage people to take any action they can.
The four categories open this year are Stars of the Future – aimed at attracting exciting ideas that can cut energy bills and help the environment; SME Saver, Super Saver and Innovative Saver.
“The Love Energy Savings Awards were established to celebrate businesses large and small and their commitment to energy efficiency in the workplace” said Love Energy Savings Managing Director, Phil Foster. “If you pride yourself on being a green organisation, whether you’ve introduced recycling, LED lightbulbs or started a carpooling scheme, the Love Energy Savings Awards are your chance to shout about what you’ve done.”
Mr Foster added that, following on last year’s success, the company wants to continue with the scheme and celebrate the wonderfully creative lengths that businesses go to in order to save themselves money and reduce their impact on the environment.
“Everyone has their part to play in making the planet greener” Foster said. “We hope that the fantastic work being done by our nominees will inspire others to become more eco-friendly.”
Love Energy Savings is one of the UK’s leading home and business energy comparison websites, specialising in helping people find cheaper energy tariffs. It is their mission to help businesses cut back on their spending and save the environment at the same time.
