The event will feature key players in the renewable sector at European, national and regional level, including the Minister for Energy Transition, Teresa Ribera, the European Commissioner for Action for Climate and Energy, Miguel Arias Cañete, the Director of IRENA Planning, Elizabeth Press and the CEOs of Acciona Green Energy, Disa, ENCE and Viesgo,
Ribera and Cañete, will preside over the inauguration of Renovables 2018 in which the president of APPA Renovables, José Miguel Villarig will also participate. The inaugural address will be given by Press.
Following this presentation will be a round table, “The role of Spain in the European Energy Transition”. Next, an essential round table, “The energy sector before an unpredictable framework”, which will offer a vision of the current situation from the regulatory prism.
After lunch, it will be the turn for the political groups and the regional administrations with the tables "Autonomic Energy Transition", which will bring together the councilors of Aragon, Asturias, Extremadura and the Canary Islands and, "Keys of the energy policy", with the energy spokespersons of the main parliamentary groups.
On Thursday, the 18th Annual Meeting of the Renewable Sector sponsored by Gesternova Energía will be held at 8:30 pm. Cocktail, a few words and live music are the agenda of this event that will take place in the renovated Commodore Space and will be attended by congressmen, politicians, businessmen, journalists and personalities linked to renewable energies. The program on Friday the 19th will feature experts linked to the electricity market, storage, innovation, self-consumption, PPAs, financing, etc. that will analyze the latest trends and challenges in the sector.
