The event, "The Next Frontier of Climate Change," is being presented by The New Republic magazine, and is being broadcast live between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on Dec. 16.
Deese will appear at about 9:55 a.m. with moderator Jeff Ball, scholar-in-residence at Stanford University's Steyer-Taylor Center for Energy Policy and Finance.
The program will also feature several interactive panels and interviews featuring speakers from the U.S. and abroad.
