This strategic investment will drive the company's international expansion, accelerate its product development, and strengthen its role in the wind and solar market. With this latest round of funding, SkyVisor is set to strengthen its position in key markets across Europe, North America, and beyond.
“We're thrilled to expand our service offering to new countries,” said Paul Fontaine, CEO of SkyVisor. “With this funding, we can continue to push the boundaries of in-house renewable energy inspections, bringing our solutions to new regions and enhancing our platform and AI tools to meet the evolving needs of the industry.”
SkyVisor, co-founded by Paul Fontaine and Fabien Sauvage, was established in 2018 with the mission to bring wind and solar park inspections in-house. The company founder and CEO Paul Fontaine's background is in electrical engineering and computer science, with a particular focus on drone design, cloud development, and big data management. Fabien Sauvage, SkyVisor's co-founder, has over 20 years of experience in software engineering and embedded systems. He has held key positions at companies like Motorola Mobility and founded his own company before joining SkyVisor as co-founder and CTO.
Together, they set out to revolutionize drone inspection technology for the wind and solar industries, expanding their focus to in-house advanced asset management solutions. Since then, the company has grown significantly, inspecting over 10 GW of wind and solar assets, completing 8,000 individual inspections yearly and detecting over 200,000 wind and solar defects yearly.
SkyVisor places a strong emphasis on in-housing, managing key aspects such as automatic flight, digitalization, and AI-based defect analysis. This strategic focus ensures greater control over quality and faster adaptability to evolving industry needs.
