The intent of the project is to provide marketing and business intelligence tools -- combined with a matchmaking service -- to promote investment opportunities for Italian operators in new emerging markets for renewable energies.
“The Innovation Cloud arose from a strong commitment toward internationalization and with the ‘Internationalization Hot Spot’ we want to further reinforce our strategy set to encourage a global reach for the green industry. This represents the real competitive challenge of operating in markets like those of solar and renewable energies, by now completely globalized,” said Luca Zingale, founder and scientific director of The Innovation Cloud. “We understand and therefore want to meet the needs for orientation and support of businesses which have to identify market opportunities in various countries and need to create strategic projects in a swift manner”.
The project breaks down into a series of initiatives promoting a direct interface between Italian businesses and a selected audience of representatives of the institutional, association, financial and entrepreneurial aspects of solar energy and other green technologies at the international level.
The ‘Internationalization Hot Spot’ consists of an exhibition area within The Innovation Cloud, organised around country desks of diplomatic missions and trade and foreign investment agencies from the most attractive emerging markets for renewable energies – the Balkans, Middle East, North and South Africa and Latin America, as well as the European Union. The area will also see the presence of the most important trans-national industrial actors and consultancy companies specialising in the processes of international development.
In addition to the exhibition area, a matchmaking service based on a planned agenda will allow exhibitors and visitors to schedule business meetings during the exhibition, boosting networking and encouraging the opening up of new emerging markets.
Additional initiatives will take place during the 3 days of the show aimed at offering long term prospects for supporting businesses in drawing up effective investment plans.
These initiatives include a session dedicated to emerging markets as part of the programme of the Global Solar Summit and continue with key country presentations, during which representatives of the various countries and international institutions will outline investment opportunities for businesses.
