In this survey, The World Renewable Energy Association examines the growth in distributed generation, as an increasing number of UK businesses are meeting a greater proportion of their energy needs through electricity generated themselves, on-site. This survey reveals the impact that distributed generation will have on our membership and UK businesses using renewable energy technologies and the progress being made towards a 'NET Zero Britain'.
To do so, they surveyed 9,862 World Renewable Energy Association member businesses, senior executives and WoREA members with familiarity of their companies’ energy strategies for 2020. The survey focused exclusively on executives and business owners from energy-intensive industries and key progressive groups: manufacturing, transport and logistics, farming and estates, hospitality and retail. Half of the respondents are either members of their companies’ boards, Chairman or Directors or hold C-level positions; the remainder are other senior managers and executives. All are from UK businesses and members of The World Renewable Energy Association (WoREA).
