“There are plenty of conferences, fairs, seminars and events taking place, with a very diverse quality level,” explains Ekaterina Tuzovskaya, International Relations Manager at SolarPVGLOBE. “We would like give a floor to thousands of users and viewers of our two platforms SolarPVEVENTS and SolarPV.TV to decide which of them are the most highly rated and in turn help them to decide where their companies and individuals should present/exhibit or attend.”
Through this online vote, the SolarPVGLOBE team wants to ensure that every event, no matter what size, from major events such as Intersolar or EU PVSEC to smaller, high level events such as Fab Managers Forum, Semi PVGroup or Solarpraxis, are in the running for the prestigious title. It will be the events’ attendees who decide which of them is actually the most valuable.
“Once all applications have been received we will discuss the events with the Nominating Committee to whittle down the applications to 20 Solar PV Exhibitions and 20 Solar PV Conferences,” explained Tomasz Slusarz from SolarPVconsulting. “The Committee is composed by dozens of top people from the Solar PV industry from the whole value chain, and other stakeholders including among others: R&D, analytics and experts, financial community and investors, architects and construction industry, politicians and decision-makers that insure that only the best events will be in the running for the prestigious title The Solar PV Event of The Year 2009 in the online voting”.
Submissions can be made via an application form as from today and online voting will begin on the 15 March.
