The solar project has been delivered under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) signed between Cleantech Solar and Denso Ten (Thailand) Limited, which is engaged in manufacturing automotive electronics and audio-visual components.
The partnership between the two companies is expected to generate nearly 18 GWh of clean energy during the system’s lifetime, which amounts to offsetting over 10 kilotonnes of CO2 emissions. The solar PV system will help Denso Ten harness the benefits of clean renewable energy, fulfilling their social responsibility targets, saving on energy costs and enabling a more sustainable supply chain.
“We conduct business with environmental care as an integral part of our corporate philosophy by creating a sustainable society through mobility by earth-friendly energy for a more sustainable future” said Satoshi Tai, President of Denso Ten (Thailand) Limited. “It is also the implementation of Denso Group policy to eliminate CO2 emissions by 2035.”
Raju Shukla, Founder and CEO of Cleantech Solar, added that Thailand is an important market where the company has been witnessing rising uptake of green energy by top-tier industrial customers.
“Cleantech Solar’s high-quality solar PV system will power the industry-leading manufacturer’s operations in a clean and sustainable manner, providing multiple benefits by way of markedly reduced emissions and electricity costs, along with security of energy supply and price stability” said Mr Shukla.
