United E & P is amongst the leading one-stop asphalt premix producers and construction materials suppliers to the local construction industry in Singapore.
The long-term solar partnership between Cleantech Solar and United E & P is expected to generate approximately 14 GWh of clean energy during the lifetime of the project, leading to a reduction of nearly 6 kilotonnes of CO2 emissions. Cleantech Solar is the turnkey solar solution provider for this project, having financed, designed and built the system, which will also be operated and maintained by Cleantech Solar across the term of the agreement.
“In these unprecedented times as the cost of operations continue to rise, we are happy to have partnered with Shell and Cleantech to help us drive cost efficiency and leading us through this decarbonisation journey and in support to Singapore’s green plan 2030” said Elvin Koh, CEO at United E & P Pte. Ltd.
Raju Shukla, Founder and CEO of Cleantech Solar, added that the world-class solar solution will enable the utilisation of unused roof space as a clean energy generating asset and that through the project United E & P can avail benefits of cost-savings on energy, stability of supply and long-term energy security along with reducing their carbon emissions in a significant manner, which will in turn contribute towards the Singapore Green Plan 2030, advancing Singapore’s national agenda on sustainable development.
