In addition to three free-field systems totalling 2.8 MW in output, the company has constructed two industrial rooftop systems with a total capacity of 1.3 MW.
All five solar energy installations are equipped with Conergy's own in-house system technology.
“The plurality of new solar projects is self-evident: Projects featuring Conergy system technology convince investors again and yet again,” said Giuseppe Sofia , Head of Conergy Italy. “We are currently building two out of three photovoltaic parks worldwide with our in-house, well-matched components.
“In Italy, the world’s second largest solar energy market meanwhile, the percentage is even higher: In 2010, we equipped nearly all our solar parks here with our own system technology. This ensures consistently high returns for our customers – be it on the free-field or on the roof,” Sofia said.
In addition to free-field systems, solar installations are also increasingly being found on the rooftops of companies and production halls.
“It is precisely there that we are seeing great potential,” Sofia said. “In addition to the topic of sustainability, companies are increasingly wrestling with the rising cost of electricity in the country. An on-roof system kills two birds with one stone: It helps with the green image and even saves the company good money.”
In total, Conergy has mounted a total of 18,500 of its PowerPlus modules on Conergy mounting systems. The power generated will be fed into the Italian electricity grid by 51 Conergy inverters.
To this end, the company has mounted a total of 18,500 Conergy PowerPlus modules on Conergy mounting systems that will now produce more than 4,500 MWh of clean electricity each year.
This will be fed into the Italian electricity grid by 51 Conergy inverters and supply about 1,300 households per year.
