The United States, Greece, Italy and Portugal are all target markets for solar tracker manufacture, Degerenergie, in 2010. According to the German company’s plans, the North American manufacturing facility could begin production “within a few months”, while the Greek and Italian sales offices will open their doors this month and in Spring, respectively.
Degerenergie estimates that its new plant in Phoenix (Arizona) will shortly begin producing trackers in order to supply the emerging North American market as soon as possible. Meanwhile, on the other side of the Atlantic, the solar tracker manufacturer has decided to expand the area of influence of its Barcelona branch, which will now start serving the growing Portuguese market.
According to Artur Deger, founder and CEO of Degerenergie, “solar energy generation markets are growing rapidly in many parts of the world, which is good news for us because increasingly more people in the industry know about us and are aware that our technology permits significantly higher performance levels. This is having a positive impact on our order book".
