This ranking is prepared and published by the British economic newspaper Financial Times in collaboration with the Statista data agency.
Within the energy sector, EDF Solar has entered the top 20 of the European ranking with 18th place, standing out as the top Spanish PV company. These positions translate into an average annual growth of 72.7% and an absolute revenue growth of 414.7% between 2015 and 2018. Among the 70 Spanish companies listed, EDF Solar is ranked 32nd.
The Financial Times classification includes companies from all sectors whose income has experienced strong growth between 2015 and 2018. Among the criteria to be part of the ranking is the independence of the companies, which have their headquarters in one of the 31 European countries and a minimum turnover of €100,000 in 2015 and €1,500,000 in 2018.
EDF Solar specializes in photovoltaic self-consumption facilities for companies. Created in 2008, the company has developed more than 1,600 projects for companies of all sectors and sizes. In addition to self-consumption, EDF Solar has another business line based on electricity generation through the development of photovoltaic plants.
