The agreement is for the supervision of two solar photovoltaic plants, 5MW and 15MW, in Bikaner which is located in the Rajasthan area.
“Our first contract in India becomes a new step in the internationalization plan of the company, to broaden our know-how in technical services and to help our clients to improve the efficiency of their plants," said Jose Luis Galindo, C.E.O. at Enertis Solar. "The Asian market is a main focus for Enertis, where we have had the opportunity to show the leadership of the Spanish solar Industry and our innovation capacity”.
Enertis Solar acted as the independent engineer at both plants, developed by Fonroche, who are a specialized company in the development, manufacturing, financing, construction and operation of solar plants.
The Madrid-based firm also supervised the commissioning tests of both plants, with its technical team developing the control tests implemented during the acceptance phase of the project.
These tests included monitoring the systems inverters, strings and the meteorological station. The tests, based on Standard IEC 61724, have the goal of overseeing the monitoring system of the solar PV plants to ensure proper operation of the facility.
The Indian market has reached 1.5GW of solar PV power. With the National Solar Mission, the experts forecast that the country could reach an installed total power of 33.4GW by 2022.
Enertis Solar is also present in Asia in other international markets including China and Kazakhstan, where there are also ambitious plans for the development of solar PV Energy.
