BNZ develops, builds, and operates renewable projects. The plants covered by the deal are strategically located across Spain, with commercial operation dates (CODs) commencing between May 2024 and June 2025.

Exus will deliver full technical and financial asset management, overseeing the operational aspects of the plants, including regular maintenance and performance monitoring to maximise energy production. Exus’ in-house team of specialists will offer BNZ advice and access to the company’s custom solar optimisation and reporting tool BlueSky, providing complete oversight to analyse, maximise, and set performance benchmarks across all projects.

Before reaching COD, Exus will provide BNZ with comprehensive financial asset management in the run up to commercial operation, including detailed financial planning and reporting to ensure all projects are financially sound and prepared for successful operations. By carefully managing financial aspects early on, Exus will streamline the transition to full operation, mitigating any potential financial risks.

Rigorous project oversight will ensure revenues are optimised and projects remain viable and profitable, while robust risk management practices will be implemented to ensure long-term stability and reliability. All operations will comply with the highest ESG standards, reflecting Exus' dedication to sustainable and responsible energy production.

“We are thrilled to deepen our collaboration with Exus through this significant milestone” said Luis Selva, Managing Director at BNZ. “With proven expertise and a commitment to excellence, Exus will provide technical and commercial management for key photovoltaic projects. Our focus is on ensuring stable returns, optimising operational efficiency, and maximising the performance of our portfolio.”

The signing of contracts is the result of a long-term collaboration between BNZ and Exus, and highlights Exus’ commitment to providing a best-in-class service to their clients, as well as a dedication to fostering long-term relationships with partners – both vital aspects of leading the way in renewable energy asset management and contributing to a sustainable future.

“Our comprehensive approach to asset management will support BNZ in achieving optimal performance and sustainability across their portfolio” added Diogo Reis, CEO at Exus Renewables. “This partnership underscores our shared commitment to advancing renewable energy solutions and exemplifies Exus’ dedication to playing a vital role in advancing the renewable energy transition in the region.”
