The ballot proposal - designed to expand solar choice by removing barriers that limit solar ownership models - continues gaining wide support and Florida League of Women Voters becomes the 35th organization to officially endorse the campaign.
They join dozens of other businesses, conservative groups, faith communities, clean energy, and environmental organizations in this diverse coalition working to place a question on the 2016 general election ballot asking voters to decide on expanding solar choice to Florida’s families and businesses.
Florida is one of only a handful of states in the country where current law expressly denies citizens and businesses the freedom to buy solar power electricity directly from someone other than a monopoly electric utility or government-owned electric utility.
