"This algorithm created in response to the need to generate highly accurate predictions for cases where there is no daily or as refreshment for those plants which specific data are not available," said Carlos Alberto Castaño, head of the R&D department for the company.
The new algorithm is an improvement of 5 points in the deviations between production and prediction. In economic terms, based on the costs of diversion published by Red Eléctrica, it is estimated that this new algorithm represents a savings of over €500,000 per year for a portfolio of 500 MW.
The implementation of this algorithm, which has already been tested, comes just a few months after the company decided to renew the control panel for its customers, offering more features and tools for managing their predictions, all accompanied by a renewed aesthetic.
The next steps in the area of R&D tend to the optimization of algorithms for other renewable technologies and the integration of data variables from different prediction models.
GNARUM Technology and Energy, continues to improve its results and consolidated as a provider of technology solutions for the renewable energy sector worldwide.
