Greenpeace and IDAE to select 50 schools and high schools for the 2nd phase of the "Solarízate" project

The call for the “Solarízate” project has been a real success, with 182 applications from schools from all regions that wanted to join the programme. Only 50 of them will be selected. The second phase of the “Solarízate” project will thus be started. Out of the 52 schools previously selected, 31 already have their own website (www.solarizate.org), where the amount of electricity produced and fed into the grid by each facility is monitored.

The fifty new schools will join the project progressively. In the same way, the learning and informative material will be given to them once the facilities start to operate.

The project developers, IDAE and Greenpeace, have updated the informative materials which were previously available in the internet. The website has been completely upgraded and now it includes new labels and experiences, besides of a brand new energy audit proposal to be done by students from these schools.
