The contract, signed today in Johannesburg, includes engineering, equipment supply, civil works, erection and commissioning of the renewable installation.
The power plant, to be called Jasper PV, is part of a project led by the American company Solar Reserve. It will be located near the town of Postmasburg in Northen Cape Province. It will feature more than 325,000 polycrystalline modules will occupy about 180 hectares.
Iberdrola Engineering's local partner on the project with the South African company Group Five.

Strengthens its presence in South Africa
This contract consolidates Iberdrola Engineering position as a global presence in the renewable energy sector, and also strengthens the company's presence in South Africa, a country that has become key to its corporate strategy.
Already this year, Iberdrola Engineering has been awarded a contract for the construction of two wind farms.
These two facilities, called Noblesfontein and Klipheuwel, totaling a combined capacity of 101 MW and are located to the southwest of the country, in the state of Western Cape, near Cape Town.
The two parks will also be developed in partnership with Group Five, which is one of the largest South African construction companies, with a presence throughout sub-Saharan Africa.
