“With the decreasing costs of solar systems, we are increasing our focus on markets with a lot of sunshine, soaring electricity prices and high purchasing power,” said Robert Händel, CSO at Innotech Solar Group.
“The location in Southern California not only gives us access to the largest single market in the U.S., but also to the fast-growing Mexican and Latin American markets,” Händel said.
In a written statement, Innotech Solar said the feedback on ITS panels that have been installed in several states across the US has been positive, and a joint research project with the University of California, San Diego, completed earlier this year, showed excellent results regarding the efficiency of ITS panels.
The company already maintains a solid presence in Europe and China, so the US is the next natural key-growth market for the company, the statement said.
In Europe, Innotech Solar has two cell processing facilities, in Norway and Germany, with a capacity of more than 160 MW. With offices in Shanghai and Hong Kong Innotech Solar also supplies customers in over five provinces in China.

In addition to offering standard modules, ITS also manufactures small modules in the range of 1.5 Wp to 135 Wp and custom-made panels for special applications such as solar streetlights and parking structures.
The first installations totaling 50 kW of Innotech Solar modules went into operation last week in Southern California.
