In announcing the postponement, the organizers said the China Renewable Energy Industry Association (CREIA) has signed on to be a partner in the annual event and that the conference will be back next year.
However, no date has been announced for the 2013 exhibition.
In welcoming the involvement of CREIA, Intersolar China's organizers said the association's involvement will help the conference forge greater links between the renewables industry and China's political leaders.
Some 500 national and international industry experts are expected to attend the conference, which is scheduled to take place at the China National Convention Center (CNCC) in Beijing.
