The bid was achieved in partnership with its local partner, Mocitaly Lda, with which Isofoton collaborates in other countries in the region.
This latest project involves the complete electrification of 18 towns which are the development centres of their respective districts. In this way, Isofoton is contributing towards the development of these regions by providing electricity to the vast majority of homes and administrative and commercial centres (schools, hospitals, shops, and municipal administration centres), together with water abduction systems by means of solar pumping systems, and public lighting installations. Over 100,000 people will benefit from these projects, which cover a total area of 70,000 square kilometres.
Isofoton has extensive experience in Mozambique where it has been present since 2003. It is one of the companies with the best reputations in the region and FUNAE has emphasised the importance of the projects carried out by Isofoton as models of sustainability and technical quality.
Affirma-Toptec acquired Isofoton from the Bergé Group in June, bringing a total of €50 million in financial resources to strengthen the balance sheet of the company. Affirma-Toptec also brings to Isofoton a new business project with the opening of new opportunities such as the Asian and United States markets.
Isofoton is the leading Spanish company in the designing, manufacturing, and supplying of Solar Energy Solutions, and contributes towards sustainable development. Its activities are concentrated in three technology categories: photovoltaic, thermal low temperature, and high concentration photovoltaic. The company is present in over 60 countries and is consolidating its position as a leader in the Spanish market.
