The projects -- a 2.03 MWp plant in Halchiu and a 3.38 MWp facility in Magurele, near Bucharest -- are expected to produce energy equivalent to the average consumption of almost 13,000 inhabitants.
The Portuguese company said in a written statement that together the facilities will offset the emission of more than 3,500 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.
The solar plants are the second and third projects Martifer Solar has undertaken with Eurowind Energy A/S in Romania. The two companies have been collaborators since 2012.
