Nautilus Solar Energy has completed installation of a 1,360KW solar PV system on the rooftops of Lindenwold High and Middle Schools in New Jersey and its associated parking facilities in addition to two elementary schools elsewhere in the district. The electricity generated by the systems will be purchased by the Board of Education under a 15-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SREC’s) sold to Atlantic City Electric.
The installation is the first in a series of such projects to be financed by Seminole Financial Services, LLC who are based in Florida and part of a group of property companies founded in 2008. Laura E. Stern, President of Nautilus Solar commented that the company was very pleased to be working with Seminole who in turn expressed their admiration for the leadership and vision of the Nautilus team.
“The Nautilus team made the entire process of providing construction and permanent financing to the Lindenwold project a good experience” said Chris Diaz, Executive Vice President for Seminole. “We look forward to expanding our partnership on additional projects in their pipeline in the very near future.”
Meanwhile, Kathleen Huder, Business Administrator for Lindenwold Board of Education (BOE) said that the Board was very excited to partner with the two companies and gained considerable cost savings from doing so while supporting their green energy programmes.
