The solar PV system features 1,380 high-efficiency Longi 580W N-type panels, delivering a total capacity of 800 kWp. Designed for peak performance, it will generate approximately 1.347 GWh annually, offsetting up to 55% of the client’s energy consumption and significantly reducing grid reliance and costs.
The client qualifies for a 56.25% claim under the 12B Tax Incentive. Additionally, the system cuts CO₂ emissions by an estimated 905 tons per year, equivalent to eliminating 2,095 barrels of oil or 1,005,268 pounds of coal.
This project underscores a strong commitment to sustainability, reducing dependence on fossil fuels while driving long-term environmental and financial benefits.
“We are thrilled to be part of this exciting project, especially knowing that our customer will be able to take full advantage of the 12b Tax incentive. This has been a significant pain point for them, and we are committed to ensuring a smooth and timely delivery to help them realize these benefits.
Our focus remains on meeting their needs and delivering results that support their long-term success," shared the Head of Sales NEOSUN South Africa, Jeanine Jackson.
Neosun Energy opened branches in CapeTown and Johannesburg, and recently has launched a new office in Durban. For local businesses in South Africa, solar energy represents a significant cost-saving opportunity, being the cheapest form of energy generation.
