Push Power has over 12 years experience delivering investment-grade projects for leading clients including Tesco and Silverstone Circuit, partnering with Centrica Business Solutions and Aviva, and is now extending its services to expand into solar repowering.
Upgrading mature systems by replacing older technology with the latest components and specifications results in boosting output, reducing operation costs and extending the lifespan of existing solar assets.
As part of the strategic expansion in business operations, Push Power recently appointed Steve Ross as Operations Director. With over 25 years of energy expertise, Steve previously worked for ScottishPower, Centrica and other major energy businesses, helping to deliver solar, on and offshore wind and hydrogen projects.
“Repowering is the next frontier in solar energy” said Mr Ross. “While technology continues to improve, older systems are starting to degrade and simply can’t keep up. By tailoring solutions to each system - whether it’s upgrading panels, installing smarter inverters, adding storage or elevating plant safety to meet the latest compliancy – Push Power delivers unrivalled expertise in repowering. Not only does repowering optimise power generation and maximise grid and revenue capacity, it also lowers operational costs in the long run, enhancing the value of the investment and significantly extending its lifespan. Repowering is all about leveraging the latest technological advancements to make sure systems work to their highest potential, staying competitive and efficient for years to come.”
Andy Khan, Push Power Ltd Managing Director, added that repowering is becoming increasingly important as the UK and global energy goals focus on efficiency sustainability and carbon reduction.
“As the demand for solar grows, repowering will become a critical part of keeping systems running efficiently while meeting regulatory demands” Mr Khan explained.
