REC has awarded Platinum Partnership status to the Greek company Sungate, a solar product distributor and a former Gold level member of REC’s Partner Programme. Sungate was formed in Greece in 2007 and used the programme’s tools and benefits to further increase its sales growth and market development. The company has also trained and certified 32 companies and installers as REC Solar Professionals during 2012 and sold 17,000 REC solar panels last year which helped to rank REC among the top three solar panel manufacturers supplying panels to the company. The panels were used in over 100 installations from residential premises to commercial and large scale solar plants.
REC Senior Vice President of Solar Sales and Marketing, Luc Graré, commented that the company was delighted to have intensified its partnership with Sungate. A sentiment echoed by Sungate CEO Amang Aziz. Sungate will concentrating on Greece, Cyprus and the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region in 2013.
REC uses its Partner Programme to support distributors and help large installers to achieve their business objectives through intensive training programmes and advanced sales and marketing cooperation. Sungate will henceforth be able to select top installers as certified REC Solar Professionals thereby providing them with enhanced access to marketing and sales support, installation training and enhanced warranty options.
