The measure applies to the materials the modules consist of and to any possible defects caused during manufacture. The product warranty of the Siliken modules completes the existing production warranties, which involve a ten-year coverage at 90% of the power and 25 years at 80%.
Siliken’s photovoltaic modules all have the UL and TÜV certifications for application worldwide and a power tolerance of +3/0%. This means that the power labelled on each module will minimally be the rated power and up to 3% higher. Similarly, the Energy Yield 2008 –a study conducted by TÜV Rheinland which compares the power produced by 14 different modules under the same conditions- rated the Siliken modules among the three most efficient.
Siliken’s photovoltaic modules are made of monocrystalline and polycrystalline silicon and are manufactured in the production plants at Valencia and Albacete (Spain) and San Diego (California, USA). In terms of reliability, these modern production lines apply an optimised manufacturing model. Siliken’s modules are regularly submitted to exhaustive resistance tests in environmental test chambers and simulators. Before shipment, each of the modules is gauged to determine whether they in fact yield the rated power.
