Solaria Energía Medio Ambiente, S.A. has confirmed that Banca Infrastrutture Innovazione e Sviluppo, an Intesa San Paolo company, has provided €24 million through a project finance facility for the company to develop an 8 MW solar PV plant in Italy.
The ground-based .“Lazio 8 MWp” solar plant will belong to Solaria Aleph Generation F.C.R, 50% owned by Solaria Energia Y Medio Ambiente, and will be sited in the vicinity of Orte (Viterbo, Venusia).
Solaria continues to strengthen its presence in the Italian market following the agreements reached in the last year for the supply of 7.5 MWp in the region of Veneto and more recently in Sardinia with a 5.8 MW capacity.
The company’s strategy for 2011 in the Italian market will focus on brand positioning, strengthening long-term partnerships with distributors, search for framework agreements that allow the development and construction of solar PV energy projects especially for rooftop installations at both domestic and industrial level, power generation and development of operation and maintenance activities.
