According to the organisers, the event will enable industry leaders and the financial community to explore opportunities for investing in solar power “at a time when the solar PV industry is experiencing unrivalled growth”, and “when investors are weathering more challenging regulatory and market conditions”. The event will bring top-level representatives of the financial and business communities together with CEOs from the PV industry to explore the future of investing in solar power.
“For investors interested in the promise of solar power, the time to act is now,” says EPIA. “Economic conditions, environmental concerns and political will are converging to create an ideal climate for investment in PV technology, which is on the way to becoming a fully competitive part of the electricity system in the European Union and an increasingly important part of the world's energy future.”
To capitalise on this crucial moment, the Investors Day will feature interactive sessions between key and new players in the PV industry and the financial community. The day will include CEO-level speakers from the industry as well as representatives from banks, investment funds, insurance companies and market analysts, and from businesses in the vanguard of investment in PV.
The event will address important issues for investors and financing institutions, looking at the most relevant questions when investing in PV:
- evaluating PV investments for different market segments and countries
- financial exposure and guarantees for PV investments
- new business models in PV deployment
- innovative financial solutions
