Trina Solar has announced it is to supply 1.1 million high quality multi-crystalline modules to the Copper Mountain Solar 3 Project at Boulder City, Nevada. The project is owned and operated by Sempra US Gas and Power and will be constructed by AMEC. Upon completion the facility will provide clean solar electricity to 80,000 homes for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and the City of Burbank.

Trina Solar will provide 1,133,550 dual-rated, 72-cell PD14 solar modules for the project. The modules will be shipped to the site as from the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2013 and the project is expected to be completed by Q1 of 2015.
