Data concentrators are devices that connect a number of different data channels to a single destination. The WebdynSunPM monitors and collects data from photovoltaic installations. From a single box, the gateway shares all indicators coming from inverters, electricity meters and environmental sensors including sunshine, temperature, wind and so on. Its most novel feature is its ability to control actions at the local level using a script interpreter. A script is the equivalent to a scenario that can be loaded and run locally on the gateway. All ‘Power Management’ related scenarios are now open using this new feature: from local data (inputs/outputs), internal data (time) or from an information system (operator commands), the network power can be modulated and the non-injected energy can be stored or consumed.
The device has been manufactured exclusively for the French market. The three TIC connectors are optional (in Modbus slave) for international markets. The RS485 and Ethernet interfaces have been enhanced with 3 RS485 interfaces, on which any protocol can be used, and there are two Ethernet ports for LAN and/or WAN connections.
The connection to all inputs/outputs now uses unpluggable connectors making the cabling of peripherals easier. The 4 dry contact inputs can now be configured as on-off inputs or pulse inputs (index meter for example).
All standard secure communication protocols have now been incorporated to improve performance and security between the field and all types of information systems: MQTTs, HTTPS, FTPS. It can also now manage whitelists and blacklists for SMS security.
The European photovoltaic market is expected to grow by 10 GW by 2019, an increase of 28 percent over 2017. In terms of achieving 100 GW globally in 2019, growth in Europe should continue to accelerate to an estimated 40 GW in 2022.
WebdynSunPM will be available for inspection at Intersolar Europe, Munich, Germany, in Hall B2 Booth 257, from 15th to 17th of May.
