The $4 million (€2.9 million) facility was built for the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai.
The Seville-based company was responsible for the design and engineering, the start-up, as well as supply a field of parabolic trough solar collectors it developed.
The facility, located about 35 kilometres from New Delhi can generate enough power for 1,000 homes the company said in a written statement.
The project is part of the program promoted by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy of the Indian government to encourage R&D projects that it hopes will achieve grid parity by 2022.
