According to CSP Today, work on the project got underway in April.
The article quotes Tan Jiansheng, Senior Vice-President of the Guangzhou-based firm, as saying the first phase of the project represents an investment of approximately $33.6 million (€26.4 million).
The plant will be fuelled by wood and horticultural waste and includes a concentrated solar installation on the building’s rooftop.
Phase I of the project is expected to generate about 10 MW. It is expected to be completed by November 2013.
Details of subsequent phases have not been announced.
