The presentation ceremony of the European Business Awards’ certificates took place on 14 June at an event held at the Casino of Madrid to put together the 25 companies selected by the European Business Awards as Country Representatives of Spain in its 2011 edition.
Sener’s General Manager, Jorge Unda, was the person in charge to receive this recognition from Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards and Luis Miguel Vilatela, Managing Director of HSBC Bank in Spain.
Commenting after receiving the certificate, Unda said: “Our pre-selection in these important international awards is a new recognition to the innovative effort that has distinguished Sener since its beginnings. The constant search for innovative solutions has brought us to participate in such different markets like marine, aerospace, civil engineering and in the energy field, where the technological development of Gemasolar, the world pioneer plant that sets a turning point in the renewable energies, is framed.”
Sener will now fight in the European Business awards for obtaining Ruban d’Honneur’s prize in the next round of the competition, where 10 finalists will be chosen in each category, all of them recognised with the aforementioned prize.
From all the companies having obtained the Ruban d’Honneur only one will finally get the award. Final category Award winners will be unveiled in Barcelona on 22 November 2011.
