Nimbus is expected to go live at the site in February and will be used to maximise the trading performance of the BESS across all the main power trading markets and ancillary services. Orsted is the world’s largest offshore wind developer and so is an important new customer for Arenko.
This is the first time that Orsted and Arenko are working together.
Whilst it is being used for optimisation purposes under this deal, Nimbus customers benefit from a range of applications across trading, asset management, site safety and back-office management functions. The Nimbus platform operationalises data flows, unlocks site connectivity and delivers automation linking all stakeholders onto a single common digital platform for their assets.
“We are delighted to be working with Orsted on the Carnegie Road BESS project” said Rupert Newland, Founder and Chief Executive of Arenko. “We look forward to building a strong relationship with them going forward and hope that this is the first of many projects we can work on together! There is a growing trend of major energy company’s turning to digitalisation across their asset portfolios and we are thrilled that Nimbus can support them in these efforts.”
