Kenera will custom-build a 10.3 MWh BESS that will optimise energy efficiency at the company’s facility in Germany, supporting a reduction in energy costs and carbon emissions. The BESS will store electrical energy generated at the plant to enable this power to be discharged, when required, at peak periods. The customised solution, which recharges at periods of lower demand, will deliver improved energy security at the plant as well as lowering overall energy consumption.
“This award reflects the Group’s position as a technology partner in clean energy applications” said Gordon Ronaldson, SVP, Kenera. “We are extremely proud of the Kenera BESS solutions developed in-house by our team in Germany. This customised system will further contribute to Germany’s sustainability goals for a low carbon future.”
