“Germany lives from innovations. From a global perspective, Germany is really innovative. But we have to work to keep it that way and keep reinventing ourselves. Small and medium-sized companies are important because they are the engine of success for the economy and therefore the basis of our prosperity, "says Ranga Yogeshwar, mentor of TOP 100.
Scientific selection process
TOP 100 distinguishes the innovative strength and the innovative success of a company. All stages of the innovation process are scrutinized, as is the innovation climate and the willingness of management to promote innovations. The jury includes a total of 120 parameters when selecting the winners. The jury is made up of experts from business, science, the media and politics, including Roland Berger and Gregor Gysi. The competition is headed by Nikolaus Franke from the Vienna University of Economics and Business, one of the world's leading innovation researchers.
Impressive corporate development
“The Tesvolt founders recognized the need for high-performance energy storage in commerce and agriculture early on and literally developed the first prototypes in the garage. Tesvolt is now producing in series in Europe's first gigafactory for commercial storage. Over 1,000 customers worldwide are already using the patented energy storage systems - an impressive corporate development within a few years, ”the jury explains their decision.
Technological unique selling point
The jury was also impressed by the intelligent battery management system developed by Tesvolt engineers. It ensures an above-average efficiency of the energy storage of over 92 percent and a long expected lifespan of 30 years. "This gives Tesvolt a unique technological position on the market," the jury said.
Innovation climate in the company
Two years ago, Tesvolt decided on an agile organizational form. Since then, the company has given up executives as bottlenecks, decisions are only made as a team. In this way, each individual can contribute optimally and develop their potential freely. "This extraordinary organizational form enables a high degree of innovation," the jury said.
"We are extremely proud that we have won this demanding competition! Because we are organized in an agile manner, all employees ultimately contributed to this victory. Tesvolt's success is based on the commitment of everyone, and I thank the entire team for this,” Daniel Hannemann, commercial director and co-founder of Tesvolt commented,
“But what drives us is not the desire to be innovative. But the vision is to bring affordable and clean energy to every corner of the world with efficient storage technologies. The basis for this is innovation, " Hannemann concluded.
