Koreans normally use solar energy mostly to provide energy for their homes. However, last Friday the Korea Institute of Energy Research and the Korea District Heating Corp. held an opening ceremony for a domestic heating facility built precisely for the country's District Heating Corporation.
The purpose of the system is to warm up water up to 90 degrees Celsius aimed at heating around 50 homes. "The solar heating system is able to heat water in the most efficient way by using two kinds of solar panels and adjust the volume of water it heats according to the strength of the sunlight.", said Mr Baek Nam-choon, a Researcher at the Korea Institute of Energy Research.
